Cool For The Summer

In the summer, my priority is definitely staying cool because I hate sweating. Flowy, off-the-shoulder dresses are perfect for this and so they've become a staple in my summer wardrobe. I love this linen black on black polka dot dress from H&M- it fits comfortably and feels so light. I wanted to add some color to my very dark outfit so I added pink bobble earrings, an old pink leather bag from Juicy Couture (tbt middle school!!) and a pair of very delicately embroidered sandals!

I found these pink ombre bobble earrings while traveling in Korea and was so excited to finally have an outfit to wear them with. The satiny effect of the tiny threads wrapped around and around remind me of traditional Korean fabrics used for formal wear and I love that. The earrings also match perfectly with my pink Juicy Couture shoulder bag from eons ago- I'm pleasantly surprised with how well the pink leather and gold hardware have held up! I also wore my new favorite rose gold mirrored sunglasses (I found them in the street market but they're also available on Amazon here)!

I'm obsessed with floral embroidery (I know it's super trendy right now but I grew up loving my grandma's embroidered satin throw pillows and the beautiful, intricate designs sewn onto the traditional Korean dresses people would wear to weddings and New Year celebrations) so I was thrilled to find these gorgeous Nanette Lepore sandals! The floral embroidery is so delicate and pretty against the black fabrics of the shoes. I'm already excited to wear these again! They'll go perfectly with all the sundresses I plan on living in this summer.

Ugh. I love these shoes so much. Just look at them!! Don't look too closely though, because I fooled myself into thinking I could give myself a decent pedicure. I'm going to go get an actual one now. Hope you all have a great weekend!
