Back to School Basics

School's started which means it's time to break out a new wardrobe. Hopefully, without breaking your bank account. My favorite basic clothing item is the T-shirt dress because it's so amazingly versatile. In today's post, I dress up my T-shirt dress with a black kimono and simple gold jewelry. Easy, breezy, basic.

I stopped by Brandy Melville a few weeks ago to pick up basics for the school year. Say what you want about Brandy but they have the softest shirts and dresses. I love the nautical tones to the navy and white stripes of the T-shirt dress I'm wearing here and also the high collar- there's no danger of flashing anyone (#ThanksBirthControl). I slipped into my comfy black kimono since the weather's still being pretty wonky.

I love love love the mural we took these photos in front of, it's on Lafayette and so freaking colorful. It makes every photo pop (perfect for Instagram)- living past SoHo is exhausting and annoying at times, but it also means I'm walking by all the amazing murals and wall art lining SoHo.

Simple gold jewelry pulls this look together and also has the added bonus of making you look like you put more effort than you actually did, always a plus.

And here's a picture of me with my amazing friend and Kappa sister Yumi! Yumi is basically my little but we're in the same pledge class.

Speaking of littles, KKG at NYU just welcomed our amazing Eta class! I'll be posting pictures from recruitment ASAP. They're all adorable but I am lowkey terrified of asking them to hang out. But it's little hunting season....clearly my life is super stressful right now. How have y'all been? Sorry for being so MIA, everything was so hectic with recruitment and starting my internship at Paramount. I'm back now though! Promise.
